Availability:
Available to members
who are under
Schedule A, A-T or B
and utilize a
qualified heat pump
(ground
source/geothermal or
air source) system
as their primary
source for heating
and cooling.
Provisions:
Member must purchase
and install a
separate meter which
records the amount
of kWh’s used by the
heat pump and the
electric resistance
coils, which are
used as back up
heating. Member must
also install a
control switch,
which will permit
the Cooperative to
interrupt service
during peak load
situations. Such an
interruption will
cycle every 15
minutes during the
control period. It
should be noted that
an inspection of the
sub-meter base and
the control switch
must take place
prior to being
placed on this rate.
Additionally, the
heating and cooling
contractor is
required to be
present when the
inspection takes
place.
Metering

Facility Charge:
$5.00 per month
Energy Charge:
All heating and
cooling at 5.7 cents
per kWh. (Does not
include usage for
the water heater.)
